![]() ![]() Jamf Pro has some features that could potentially get you out of this kind of pickle if the Mac is still online. Even if you have two MDMs (School for iPads as it's better at managing them, and Pro for Macs as it's better at managing those), it'd be worth it. If you manage a lot of Macs at your school, I'd seriously recommend Jamf Pro as an MDM. If FileVault is enabled, you can also use that Recovery Key to get access to the Mac. It will keep the user's existing Keychain locked against their old password, but you can delete that old Keychain afterwards and start a fresh one. You can also try booting to recoveryOS, typing resetpassword in Terminal there and following the prompts. If you have a service Admin account on the Mac, you can log-in with that and reset their password within System Settings > Users & Groups. ![]() Is it possible to reset a mac password with a managed apple ID?
